Leggero Vento R kids bikr trailer for 1 or 2 kids
The Leggero Vento R is the bicycle trailer from the Swiss manufacturer Leggero. The Vento R is the successor of the Vento model and offers many new functions. It is available in the popular colours "sail" and "surf" as well as in four versions:
- Pure with bicycle set
- Family with push handle and buggy wheels
- Active with jogger wheel and buggy wheels
- Sport with hydraulic disc brake, jogger & buggy wheel
The rear light required by the road traffic regulations is included in the scope of delivery. With a bicycle and a child's trailer you are safe in the twilight and at night.
You can use the multifunctional child carrier for one or two children. The special: With the Vento R, a child can also sit in the middle so that the weight is optimally distributed. You can easily adjust the harness system and remove the middle wedge. The trailer is also suitable for e-bikes, as the drawbar can withstand all load tests.
The children's pendant is made in Romanshorn, Switzerland. Leggero places the highest demands on the materials used. That's why 80 percent of them come from Europe. From the fabric to the tyres, all components are free of harmful substances and comply with the R.E.A.C.H. regulation. Leggero pays particular attention to sustainable, ethically correct production.
Comfort is equally high for passengers and parents. The good suspension is softly dampened by an elastomer. Shocks are gently absorbed and your children's spine is protected. The seats have an adjustable backrest and are very comfortable. You can adjust these diagonally or vertically via a tape. This is usually only offered by the more expensive Thule models and the Nordic Cab.
The push bar is continuously height-adjustable. So you can easily push the transporter at any time. If your children are too old for the trailer, you can remove the seats and use the vento as a transport trailer on bicycle tours. The sturdy base tray can withstand a lot of weight.
4 quipment versions - the perfect fit for everyone
Are you looking for a pure bicycle trailer with suspension that offers maximum safety? The Vento R in the "Pure" version comes with drawbar, coupling and safety pennant. The Swiss manufacturer attaches great importance to maximum safety. Your child is always well protected.
Family - mit Schiebebügel und Buggyrädern
The "Family" version includes not only the bike set, but also the push handle and buggy wheels. With this equipment, you can also use the Vento R as a stroller replacement in pushchair mode.
Active - mit Joggerrad und Buggyrädern
You want to use the multisport trailer also for jogging? In the "Active" version, the jogger wheel is also on board. The buggy bikes are also included.
Sport - mit hydraulischer Scheibenbremse, Jogger- & Buggyrad
You are really sporty and on your way and want a multisport trailer with handbrake? The Vento R has the best brake of all trailers: a hydraulic disc brake. The jogging set and the buggy wheels are also included.
Der Leggero Vento R im Test
Im Frühjahr 2019 wurde der Leggero Vento R neben weiteren Kinderanhängern unterschiedlicher Marken von der Stiftung Warentest und Ökotest getestet. Er konnte bei Stiftung Warentest vor allem in den Bereichen Sicherheit, Fahren und Handhabung überzeugen und erhielt das Prädikat "empfehlenswert." Hervorzuheben ist, dass er auch zwei Kindern viel Platz bietet und der Sitz eine ergonomische Rückenhaltung unterstützt. Im Buggy-Modus wurden Schwächen in der Haltbarkeit festgestellt. Okötest lobte beim Leggero Vento R Family die hohe Robustheit, die der Anhänger im umfangreichen Dauertest zeigte. Bemängelt wurden vier Schadstoffgruppen und die Gefahr des Hängenbleibens der Räder an Hindernissen.
Unsere Meinung: Wer seinen Kindern viel Platz im Innenraum bieten möchte und den Anhänger hauptsächlich als Fahrradanhänger nutzt, wird am Leggero Vento R viel Spaß haben!

Differences to other Leggero bicycle trailers
The Vento R is the newest model of Leggero and successor of the Vento. There are many improvements compared to the old model. The new Vento is spring-loaded and has a fibre-reinforced plastic instead of an aluminium tub. The design has become narrower and more manageable. It's not quite so wide, but a little longer. In the spacious interior the little ones have a lot of space.
In addition to the Vento R 2018, Leggero also has the Enso. This is only available as a single-seater. It is the higher quality model and designed for off-road cycling. Therefore it has a better suspension: ring spring with 75 mm spring travel. The Enso also has a disc brake on board. However, this is not hydraulic.
